Commercial insurance goes wrong in one of two directions: a business buys a generic package that does not match what it does, or it buys nothing beyond what a landlord or a contract forced it to. Both show up at claim time.
We start with how your business actually runs: what you own, who works for you, what you drive, who you sign contracts with, and what a bad week would cost you, and build the program from there.
Coverages we place
- Commercial property: buildings, equipment, inventory, tenant improvements.
- General liability: third-party bodily injury and property damage. Nearly every commercial lease and client contract requires it.
- Business owner's policy (BOP): property and liability bundled, usually the efficient starting point for a small or mid-sized business.
- Commercial auto: vehicles owned by the business, plus hired and non-owned auto for employees driving their own cars on company time.
- Workers' compensation: required in Indiana once you have employees. See our workers' compensation page.
- Business interruption: lost income while you cannot operate after a covered loss.
- Commercial umbrella: additional limits stacked above your liability policies.
Certificates and contract requirements
If a client, a general contractor or a landlord has sent you an insurance requirement, send it to us before you sign. Additional insured status, waivers of subrogation, primary and non-contributory wording and minimum limits all have to be built into the policy. They cannot be added to a certificate after the fact. We issue certificates of insurance at no charge for the businesses we write.
Industries we work with
We write coverage for contractors and the trades, retail and restaurants, offices and professional services, light manufacturing, and owner-operated service businesses across Indianapolis and the eight Indiana counties we serve.
